Barkey – The Warmingconcept
Barkey is a German technology company, which was founded in 1980. The company’s enthusiasm for innovation and production quality coupled with the high efficiency and long operating life of the products have ensured continuous growth.

In 1996, Barkey relocated from Bielefeld to the new industrial estate Asemissen West in Leopoldshöhe in order to accommodate expanding orders. The company owned building near Bielefeld offers the ideal conditions for effective inter-linking of production, sales and administration. Among the factors influencing the choice of location were proximity to the Autobahn A2, the possibility of further expansion, as well as the attractive countryside location near the Teutoburger Forest.

More than 30 experienced employees at Barkey develop, produce and sell equipment and systems for medical-, laboratory-, materials testing- and environmental analysis technology. In addition to an extensive standard range of products, Barkey specialises in customised and application technology orientated dry warming systems. They realise various mechanical detailed solutions, electronic control of parameters, as well as PC-aided data evaluations and result documentation, taking national and international standards into consideration.

Barkey is represented at many national and international symposia, conferences and workshops. A decisive criterion for participating at industry fairs is the possibility of intensive consultation in close cooperation with customers.

Barkey Test Systems 10.09.2008

The Barkey condensation/perspiration test system was specifically developed for the reproducible test of condensation resistance of glued-on bottle labels.

It essentially comprises a glass test chamber equipped with a bottom heating system.

The bottles to be tested are placed on the base grid of the bottom heating system which is located above the level of the water. The bottles are connected by way of special adapters to an external circulation temperature control device which maintains the bottles at the desired temperature.

As ambient, specimen and jacket temperature of the test chamber can be controlled and regulated, this system can also be used for similar condensation/perspiration tests.

A defined condensation intensity (from light condensation to “washing off effects”) on the bottles and/or their glued-on labels forms due to the temperature difference between the bottles, water bath and test chamber.
