The Electrophoresis Partners Since 30 Years.
Biotec-Fischer is based right in the middle of Germany in Reiskirchen 70 km north of Frankfurt. Its distributor network covers parts of Europe and North Africa.
The product program of BIOTEC-FISCHER contains equipment and consumables for electrophoresis purposes as tanks, application systems, power supplies, analysis and documentation systems, as well as all necessary aids and consumables.
It covers both fields the electrophoresis for clinical purposes (electrophoresis of serum protein, lipo protein, haemoglobin, urine and so on) as well as research (SDS-PAGE, DNA, RNA, PCR, Proteins, Blotting, DNA-sequencing, 1D- and 2D-electrophoresis and so on).
The main product line is the clinical electrophoresis where manual as well as automated systems are available. It contains tanks, different application systems and power supplies as well as an universal densitometric analysis system. The tanks can be used for the different methods based on cellulose-acetate membranes or agarose gels. The own production of all necessary electrophoresis reagents guarantees an optimised system.
The second product line is electrophoresis for research where the wide range of different tanks and power supplies is a real alternative to many other systems on the market. Special advantage are the manufacturing facilities which allow to alter specifications of tanks to the special needs of the customers or to manufacture individual systems.
To round up and complete the sales program Biotec manufactures also laboratory equipment as a strong orbital shaker, gel driers and UV transilluminators.
As a special service to its distribution partners Biotec offers an OEM solution for some of the products of the manufacture program.

The migration tank FILIPO is a new development from BIOTEC-FISCHER utilising the most modern technology. The migration tank FILIPO is designed for a long operational life and safe reliable problem-free use during hard continous operation.
Compakt, robust and low
maintenance.
The migration tank FILIPO operates with a compact, robust and extremely reliable electronics. This makes the FILIPO compact in its dimensions. Maintenance costs for the user are minimised. All relevant components are easily accessible and easy to clean.
Different methods.
The most commonly used electrophoresis methods can be carried out with the FILIPO. ( serum proteins, Lipo-proteins, Hb-A1, Haemoglobin, Urins and spinal fluids.
Place saving.
With 20 cm width and 25 cm depth the FILIPO only uses a minimum space on a laboratory table. This is an advantage in any laboratory where only a minimum space is available.
Easy to operate.
The migration tank FILIPO can be easily and safely operated. All necessary settings can be set with few switches. The status will be displayed with two LED’s and a two position numerical display.

The migration tank FILIPO is designed to handle cellulose acetate membranes as well as agarose gels. To change the carrier it is only necessary to change the carrier bridge.

The migration tank FILIPO offers a variety number of electrical settings. The using of pre set electrical conditions easily guarantees the reproducibility of electrical conditions.

TurboScan:
The new
generation of densitometers.
Once again Biotec-Fischer is leading the way in modern analysis technology with the digital analysis system TurboScan. No other system offers comparable flexibility and comfort. The TurboScan translates users’ expectations of a densitometer into reality. Non-essential gadgets have deliberately been left out. Functionality, reliability and operator comfort are the maxims.
Universal use.
In terms of flexibility, TurboScan puts all previous systems in the shade. It allows you to create as many individually generated scan masks as you wish. You can also select as many analysis methods as you wish. No other system offers so many options. In clinical work, for example, you can use TurboScan for analysis in the following applications: serum protein electrophoresis, lipo-protein electrophoresis, haemoglobin elec-trophoresis, Hb-A1 electrophoresis, urine electrophoresis, CSF electro-phoresis, Bence-Jones, iso-enzymes, immuno-fixation, iso-electric focusing, multifractional electrophoresis, blots and lots more. It does not matter wether you carry out your methods on dry or wet cellulose acetate strips, on agarose and on other gels or you work with micro, semi-micro or macro application.
Digital image analys. tech-nology for reliable results.
TurboScan uses the latest digital image analysis technology. The ad-
vantages to you are obvious: analysis only takes a fraction of the time and the results obtained are reliable with excellent reproducibility. At the same time TurboScan is based on commercial hardware components. The advantage to you – you can use existing PC hardware and save costs.
n Perfect analysis.
TurboScan has a very high analysis speed. An A4 page is scanned in only 15 seconds. For the standard template with 64 traces, this means an average scanning speed of of 0.23 seconds per separation. The high resolution guarantees reliable results with excellent reproducibility. The analysis data are clearly presented on the colour monitor. The printout shows all the relevant data in a clear form, starting with the image of separation, the graphs, then the laboratory and patient data through to the results in percentages and absolute figures, the normal ranges and your comments.

PHERO-vert 1010-E
The preferred unit for routine mini protein electrophoresis, the PHERO-vert 1010-E is constructed using the latest injection moulding manufacturing techniques. This gives a high quality, low cost product with unsurpassed finish, durably and strength. The unit incorporates a sealing system which is compatible with all major types of 8 x 10cm and 10 x 10 cm precast gels. Ges casting and running utilise the same insert, no transfer of glass plates during gel casting is necessary. The insert contains just one screw per clamping bar side allowing very rapid set up of both hand cast and precast gels. Ultra soft silicone seals and pressure bars which surround the glass plates guarantee leak proof gel casting. 2mm thick glass plates prevent breakage and have bonded spacers for convenience. Accessory electroblotting and tube gel modules are available which use the same outer tank and lid.

PHERO-sub 1010-E
With gel tray options of 10 x 7 cm and 10 x 10 cm, the extended SUB midi has been designed for routine horizontal gel electrophoresis. Extending only the width of this unit allows more samples to the resolved per gel than the multi SUB mini without a significant increase in buffer or gel volumes. A maximum of 100 samples per gel can be resolved making this unit ideal for those routinely checking medium numbers of samples over the short medium gel run length.
